Museum of Wellington City & Sea
On our day discovering places around Wellington we visited the wharves. We went to the Museum of Wellington City & Sea on Queens Wharf.
The Museum of Wellington City & Sea is in the old Bond store, one of the buildings on the waterfront where Paddy often visited.
In the museum there is a display of Paddy and a life size model of Paddy which barks when you pat him. We gave Paddy lots of pats.
There is a fact sheet about Paddy on the Museums of Wellington website, too.
At the Queens Wharf gates we saw the memorial plaque for Paddy and the drinking fountain with two drinking bowls for dogs. The memorial was built in 1945.
