Research process
In 2008 Titahi Bay North School celebrated its 50 year anniversary. We have some pictures around the school showing one of the very first school assemblies in 1958. Those pictures look very different to what we look like now. Also we have several staff working at school who used to be students here. We thought it would be interesting to find out what our school was like when they were students here and also how things have changed compared to what the school is like today.
As well as the photos, Mr Caldwell, our principal, found a list of some of the important dates in our school’s history. We then got to interview some of the staff who were students at Titahi Bay North School in the past. It was very interesting and we found out a lot of cool stuff!
Then we put the interview data into our Living Heritage website. After that we downloaded the pictures we wanted to use for each page. This part was a lot of fun and we learnt a lot about making website pages.
