We would like to thank the following people and Institutions for allowing us to use material, photos and memories:
Former pupils Miss Thelma Clough, Mr Rod Hoggard, Mr Lewis Rowden and Mr Anthony Bovaird, for their wonderful memories, written during 2010 Centennial year, and quotes from Miss Clough's memoir 'A Tale from my Early Days' published by herself in 2008.
Auckland City Libraries and Auckland War Memorial Museum and Institute for use of historic photos. National Archives of New Zealand for historic records. The Grey Lynn School enrolment books from 1907 to 1997 are now lodged with NZ National Archives, along with the School Committee Minute Books from 1918 to circa 1975. At National Archives they are listed as School Accomodation under the Auckland Education Board Subject Files. The Grey Lynn School material can be located through the Archway search at this link.
The children have also made use of the magazine published during the Centennial Year: '100 years of learning: Grey Lynn School Centenary 1910-2010'.
Grey Lynn School also has its own large collection of historic photos in its archival collection. Some of these derive from former pupils, others are from now defunct publications such as 'The Auckland Star' and 'The Weekly News'. If any one has information about those photographs we would be pleased to receive it.
The Centennial publication is available from Grey Lynn School at $20.00 +P.P.
