Research process

For our research process we firstly thought about websites that would give us relevant information. We came up with three categories to Google. They included; “History of Porirua”, “Census Figures for Porirua” and “Myths and Legends of Porirua”. Two websites of interest appeared - Porirua City Council and Te Kete Ipurangi. We read the information, synthesised it, analysed it and then summarised it in our own words. Next we thought about our own Pacific links to Porirua. We brainstormed and wrote questions to ask our whanau so we could examine our own Pacific links to Porirua. Finally, we visited places and events that are unique to Porirua and have a Pasifika link.
