Can we have a mural?

First we had to persuade Miss Whiting to let us to let us paint a mural. We all wrote her letters and had a meeting with her. Here are some of our letters.

We looked at the murals around the Waitangirua Mall.

I think our school looks lifeless and boring and I want our school to be beautiful. I believe that our school will be incredible when we paint a mural. It will make me proud of our school and our families could be a part of it and help us paint.

If we make a mural then our school would be more beautiful. Now it looks sad and plain. If we paint it, it will make us want to come to school and it will make us feel proud.

Can we have a mural?!!
First of all I think we should have a mural so we can have something new to look at. Our walls are boring. We need them to be painted!
If you look at some other schools they have got murals.
A mural would look incredible and amazing and beautiful. When it is morning tea and lunch we will get to see the mural we painted.
We will be proud and happy about ourselves.
We can include our whanau and cultures in our painting.
We can find artists to help us with ideas for our mural.
We should make people smile. If we don’t some people will frown a lot. We need to turn people’s frowns upside down.
Our school will be proud.
I believe our school will look better and prettier than any other school in the world.

Our walls look sad because they don't have any paint on them. Our walls will look fabulous if we paint them. Other people will want to copy our school mural. I would include my whanau to come to school to paint a mural. It will make us feel happy and proud. Our families can be part of our mural and we could show our cultures in a mural.
