The Fire Woman
The fire woman had lollipop red fire on her fingers and on her toes. One by one Maui tricked the fire woman with his devilish twisted words into giving Maui all her fire. One by one Maui cheekily used the fire woman by dropping the fire in the river. The village cheered Maui on by awarding him with honour. The fire woman followed him one day and she got furious. The next time Maui came the fire woman trapped Maui and ate him and punished his village. Retold by Briar
