Students of Avondale Primary School have made this website to teach other people about their community of Avondale in the past and what it's like now. Different community aspects have been researched, based on the big idea of valuing Avondale's different cultures, experiences, traditions, histories, and languages.

Students from Central School in New Plymouth researched the history of Koru Pa in the Oakura area. The pa was built by the Mahanga Taiiru hapu of the Taranaki iwi around 1,000AD and abandoned in the 1820s.

Makara Model School students created a website about a visit from local author, Ruth Paul, who launched her book, 'The Little White Lie', in the Grand Hall in parliament. The school was invited to take pictures and film the big event. Includes information about Ruth Paul - her life and her book - and a short video of an interview with Ruth Paul and the book launch event.

This project was undertaken by a students from Newton Central School in Auckland. They looked at the history of two rivers in their area, the Waihorotiu (Ligars Canal) and Wai-a-te-ao, (Motions Creek).

This project on the Holy Trinity Church in New Plymouth was undertaken by nine year five and six students from Fitzroy Primary School. They looked at the church's history, windows, interior, roof and wall construction, and the church bell. Includes sound files from interviews.

This project was undertaken by a group of year 4 Students from Awapuni School in Gisborne. They looked at special buildings, art, and monuments in Gisborne. Included is the library, Wyllie Cottage, art in public places, and the Captain Cook Memorials.
